10 - 12 Year Old Forestry Field Day

This field day is only open to 10-12 year olds.

Tree Planting 101 - Oregon Department of Forestry
Take a Hike – Lewis and Clark National Historic Park
Tree Lady - Talk About Trees Instructor
Recreation - Oregon Department of Forestry, Tillamook Forest Center
Fire Fighting - Oregon Department of Forestry, Wildfire Protection
Wildlife Rescue - Wildlife Center of the North Coast
Fisheries - Clatsop County Fisheries
Mushrooms - Oregon State Parks
Wood Products - Nuveen Natural Capital and Hampton Lumber

Snack and Lunch:  After the first 4 booths there will be a short break with snacks provided. Then after all the booths are visited there will be a 20-minute lunch break before closing activities and release. There will be no lunch provided, all attendees will need to bring their own bagged lunch.

Weather: Last year we had a beautiful sunny day, but we all know that we could have rain. This event is scheduled for rain or shine. Please dress accordingly!

Attire: Wear closed-toed shoes appropriate for outdoor walking. Depending on the weather, a light sweatshirt or jacket is also recommended.

Personal Items: Please feel free to bring any personal items that you might need throughout the day:
sunscreen, medication, water bottle, extra jacket, etc. We will have a drop location for personal bags or
backpacks.
